By Editorial Team
FIS and Episode Six have announced the launch of the FIS International Issuing Hub, a cloud-native platform designed to help financial institutions, fintech firms, and brands modernize their payments infrastructure. The partnership was unveiled at the Money20/20 conference in London on 3 June.
The new hub, a collaboration between FIS, a payments and banking infrastructure provider, and Episode Six, an issuer processing technology company, aims to support the launch of credit, debit, prepaid, and virtual card products tailored for both local and international markets.
With a modular, API-first architecture, the platform allows institutions to scale across currencies and regulatory environments without the need for a full systems migration. This approach offers flexibility while minimizing disruption to existing operations.
The platform addresses the increasing demand for seamless digital experiences, competitive pressure, and the need to navigate complex regulatory environments. It is particularly targeted at large global banks, fintech companies, and consumer-facing brands seeking to accelerate product development and enhance operational agility.
John Mitchell, CEO, and Co-Founder of Episode Six, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We’re excited to partner with FIS to deliver a solution that brings unmatched scalability and flexibility to the market. FIS International Issuing Hub sets a new standard in payments, empowering companies to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.”
The platform is designed to empower clients to scale, innovate, and excel in the evolving digital landscape. The FIS International Issuing Hub is expected to revolutionize payment processes for financial institutions and fintech companies, providing them with the tools to adapt to changing market conditions and stay competitive.
